Emergency Lighting tests are to be carried out every month. This test will illuminate all the roof mounted spotlights that are installed to highlight all routes out of the building in the event if a fire. All mains electrics will cut out including speakers and general lighting.
This test will highlight any lights that dont come on, battery shortage, incorrect positioning or poor lumins (inadequate lighting levels).
To test your venues emergency lighting, you must follow these steps:
- Turn off all mains lighting and music
- Use a fish key, image below
- Enter the key into the test port, image below
- Pull the key down, this will trigger the emergency lighting test
- Let this test run for 15 minutes, walk around the building and make sure all spotlights and Fire Exit signs are lit. Take photos of those that aren't and report to Snapfix
- This test will require images as proof of completing this task on Trail > Emergency Lighting Test
- After 15 minutes has passed, put the key back into neutral and remove.
