Applying for a Personal Licence
A personal licence is for all AM's, AGM's and GM's.
'A personal licence authorises a specified person to supply alcohol or allow the supply of alcohol at a premise which has a valid premises licence.'
Roxy Leisure’s company policy is that all managers are required to hold a Personal Licence. For those who don’t hold a PL, Roxy Leisure will pay for the person to go through the process, which includes training materials, an exam and council fees (submission of the exam results, personal information and photocard).
If a manager in your venue requires a PL, the individuals line manager is to contact the Compliance Manager via email with the name, personal email address and job role of the individual. The Compliance Manager will forward these details on to the external Training Company, they will then reach out to the applicant and liaise with them to arrange taking the exam and start the application process.
Once your manager passes the exam (result is announced there and then), the external company will email our manager requesting a passport style photo (for their Personal Licence card) and sign a form, this will then trigger the process of getting the PL card sent to the persons submitted address. Compliance will receive a copy of the certificate and upload this to the persons Workforce profile for future reference.
